Mini Watercolor Competition 2026
Artists from around the world are warmly invited to participate in this special Mini Watercolor Competition. The challenge is simple and inspiring: create a small watercolor within the size of a credit card. Despite the small format, the possibilities for creativity and expression are endless. Awards are presented in themes such as Birds, Animals, Flowers, Still Life, Portrait/People, Landscape/Urban, and Experimental Works.
We look forward to receiving unique miniature artworks from watercolor artists everywhere.
Artwork Guidelines
*Use a sheet of watercolor paper measuring 15 × 12 cm.
*In the center, draw a rectangle the exact size of a credit card. The format must be exactly this size — not larger and not smaller.
*Apply masking tape along the edges of the rectangle so that a clean white border remains after painting.
*Create an original rectangular mini watercolor inside this area (horizontal or vertical).
*Remove the tape and place your signature below the painting.
*Artist Information
On the back of the artwork, clearly write:

Address
Country
Email address
*Place your artwork in an envelope with sufficient postage and send it to:

*Entry fee €10 entry fee. For this amount you may submit up to two mini watercolors in one envelope.
*Payment must be made via PayPal only to:

*Return of Artworks
If you would like the artworks returned, please transfer an additional 3 euros (total 13 euros). We will find a nice home for the watercolors that were not returned.

*Exhibition
A selection of artworks will be on display during the "Southern Watercolorists" exhibition from November to December 2026 at the "Kunstlokaal" Gemert (Netherlands).
Additional Information
The organization is not responsible for loss or damage during shipping. Artists may insure their work themselves if they wish.
The organization reserves the right to select the artworks that will be exhibited.

If you send one or two pieces in an envelope, the price is €10. The work will not be returned, but we will find a nice home for it.
